Transcribe: This peal was rung by particular desire of Malachi Channon it being the last peal he intended to ring he having been a member of this Society for over 52 years and has done many great performances, he rang the ninth bell at Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the year of 1784 in a true peal of 12000 changes of Oxford Treble Bob Royal it was performed in nine hours & 5 minutes and he is the only one now able to ring of the five who are now living who a finished in the said peal and at the age of 72 years belonging to the Society.
